Nikola Jokic just capped off one of the most historic Championship runs in NBA history just a few months ago. Rightfully so, the two-time MVP is all-out celebrating in the off-season.

The Denver Nuggets star made several headlines recently when a viral video of him celebrating started to surface online. Jokic couldn’t contain his delight as he limped around in sheer joy, resembling a child celebrating a victory. However, this time it wasn’t for an NBA Championship win but for a victory achieved by his racehorse.

Jokic’s love for racehorses has been well-documented, with the basketball star openly expressing his passion for the sport and claiming ownership of multiple racehorses. His dedication to horse racing was so profound that he faced a tough decision during the Denver Nuggets’ championship parade. Despite the team’s monumental victory, Jokic contemplated skipping the parade to attend a horse racing event in Serbia.

The Joker had made several comments about his passion for horse racing before claiming that basketball is more of a job for him. “Basketball is not the main thing in my life,” Jokic told ESPN, “It’s something I’m good at. I’m just happy for the team.

For a man for whom hooping isn’t everything, Jokic is still one of the best in the league. The 28-year-old averaged  30.2 points, 14 rebounds, and 7.2 assists in the five-game series against the Miami Heat, where he capped off his performance by winning the Finals MVP award.

It is evident that horseracing holds a special place in Nikola Jokic’s heart, as the star was captured in a video displaying his true passion for the sport. Jokic appeared shirtless and visibly happy in a moment of jubilation, celebrating the Duzijanca horse race victory. The occasion turned into a significant moment for the Serbian basketball MVP, as he was joined by his wife, Natalija, and his brothers, who were seen partying alongside him.

Fans were quick to point out that the 28-year-old was way too happy for a racehorse championship where he was seen shirtless and singing in the video. NBA fans were fast to draw the difference between Jokic’s racehorse celebration and his NBA Championship celebration, saying that the big man does not even care about the latter that much.
