Italy’s strength from the third quarter carried over into the fourth quarter. Italy controlled the fourth quarter and stunned Serbia, winning 94-86 thanks to a 28-18 fourth-quarter score.
With Italy advancing to the quarter-finals, Nikola Jokic and Serbia’s EuroBasket ambitions were dashed. With Jokic’s departure, just a few NBA players remain in the competition. EuroBasket action will continue with Luka Doncic, Rudy Gobert, and Giannis Antetokounmpo as teams prepare for their quarter-final contests.
