Celebrities and sportspersons partying is no new thing. Every time a clip of some sportsperson partying goes viral, people are ready to bash up the person. Another victim of the same is Nikola Jokic, whose video has gone viral. The video shows him partying and singing along with his fellow Serbians. The Big Man is a person who is an active party animal and this video shows the same too.
Time and again, the big man has shown that he is a simple man who loves to have fun – going around partying and having fun in horse races with his horses. Jokic has in the past shared how little he cares about the competition and that has reflected in this video. Not only this, he once opened up about how he had to quit Basketball to pursue his hobby of horse racing.
He said, “I quit when I was 12 or 14. It was for about like six months. The only thing I wanted to do was race horses.” The big man has taken a controversial backstep from the game of basketball as he chose not to take part in the Serbian team for the FIBA World Cup. With his Denver Nuggets NBA title on the lines in just 2 months from now, he sure has given too much liberty to his preparations and has chosen to have fun instead.
NBA Twitter reacts to Nikola Jokic’s party clip
As the video went viral, Twitter was quick to bash him up for not practising the game of Basketball while some made fun of his height. Some even joked about how he enjoys much more in Serbia compared to America.
As Jokic completes his offseason and enjoys the time of his life, many would be questioning why he has let his country aside. But, if he had participated in the World Cup, he would have only gotten one month in the offseason, reducing the party-lover’s party time significantly.
Jokic, continuing with the Nuggets for the 2023-24 season will look to hold his ground high and defend the championship which he so dearly fought for and won last year. With this goal in mind and Jokic in the best mental and physical state at the start of the season, the dream does not look far away.
