The Denver Nuggets are on a roll in the NBA Finals. They are just one win away from their first-ever NBA title and the credit goes to the phenomenal team effort. The Nuggets played the Miami Heat in Game 4 as they were on the road. Heading into the Game, Denver had a 2-1 lead and many were anticipating a Heat comeback. However, with Miami out of sync and Aaron Gordon and Bruce Brown stepping, the visiting side took a comprehensive win.

Gordon rose to the occasion as he scored 27 points. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray combined for 38 points, while Bruce Brown put up 21 coming off the bench. For the Nuggets, Jokic and Murray have been the consistent top performers. However, to see new names on the board today was another pleasant visual. Brown had an impressive game as he shot 8-11 from the field and 3-5 from the three-point line. Nikola Jokic was asked about his performance in the post-game press conference, and he had a very amusing reply.

Yes of course, he had an amazing night. He was really aggressive in the fourth quarter and him and Aaron (Gordon) were really really good. I mean they were amazing,” he said as he started talking about Bruce Brown. Nikola Jokic then pointed to one instance of the game where Brown upset him. “But he took a step back three. I almost… I wanted to punch but when he made it I was so happy,” he said, leaving reporters in the room laughing.

“He’s the same as Aaron. He’s learning and he’s accepting and that’s what the best thing is about him. He was really good tonight. Aggressive, attacking and not being scared of the moment,” he concluded.

The Denver Nuggets have undoubtedly been the most consistent team in the 2023-24 NBA season. They have consistently dominated every team they have faced right from the onset of the regular season. Moreover, their postseason journey was like a walk in the park. At least, that’s what they made it seem like. The Nuggets defeated two stacked teams, the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers, on their way to the NBA Finals.

Going up against the Miami Heat, Denver was the favorite to win the title. However, after Game 2, some anticipated that Miami would give an intense fight. After all, the Heat, too, have had an exceptional postseason. They were the eighth seed in the East, as it looked like they walked up into the NBA Finals with no difficulty. However, after their Game 2 victory, they failed to capitalize on home-court advantage.

Both teams will now head back to Denver as the Nuggets have a chance to lift the trophy at home. The Heat, on the other hand, have a mighty task if they want to win the title.
