LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were recently knocked out of contention by the Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets. And, unfortunately, it happened with a very disrespectful sweep. Even though they aren’t even alive in the run, still they are all over the media. And, unfortunately, LeBron James and the Lakers once again trend with the reason being the flopping allegations against them.
But now it’s not just the allegations. Instead, it’s a whole new rule which is going to stop players from flopping. As the league is done with the unfair advantages superstars like LeBron James, Joel Embiid, James Harden, Marcus Smart, and others get by flopping. As the refs give them a whistle which sends them to the free throw line and then it’s nothing but just some easy and free points for players like LeBron James and others.
The league has now decided to stop this practice and is about to add a new rule. As Shams Charania recently reported: “Sources: The NBA’s Competition Committee is discussing potential of in-game penalty for flops that would result in technical foul free throw. Trial is possible at Summer League in July.” The new rule can be a game-changer. And, then the basketball world would get to see a lot many embarrassing moments of the stars trying to get a free call. Also, that hilarious exchange would happen live during the games.
The rule would be applied league-wide. But still, the internet is only clowning some particular stars at the moment. And, all of them have defended themselves in the past from the flopping allegations. Right now under the heat are the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James who is also nicked as “LeFlop” by the fans for his continuous flopping actions.

Fans aren’t showing any mercy to LeBron James, the Lakers, and a handful of other stars. LeBron James who recently denied the allegations now would probably have to defend himself again. Also, we all know he flops and is one of the best floppers the league has ever seen. And, he’s been doing that for a decade now. LeBron James is very unfortunate with trolls, as he’s always under fire without any involvement. But this time it’s understandable as he’s nicked, “LeFlop” for some obvious reasons.
Also, his future is still a mystery as he lately has been considering retirement as an option after ending his 20th season by getting swept out from the run which could have landed him his fifth championship.
