Norman Powell harassed by a woman in Vegas
Racism is a word that dictionaries should not contain anymore, as we try to eradicate its horrific face off the Earth. Norman Powell however, encountered one such form of it in an appalling fashion, while he was hitting the gym in Las Vegas gym when a white woman approached him and told him he is “not American.” Trying to get back into shape, Powell was working out and while he was taking a break , the 28-year-old forward went live on his Instagram account to record the woman suddenly harassing him.
The woman had some preposterous accusations and facts up her sleeve, as she entered the gym where the LA Clippers guard was working out. As Powell narrated the incident, which he had also streamed live on Instagram, the woman claimed out of the blue that Powell was not an American due to his darker skin color and the music he listened to. The veteran NBA player kept his composure and did not lose his cool on such cheap comments.

“Shut the F**k up” – White Woman in Vegas harasses Norman Powell
Norman Powell was acquired by the Clippers last season to power their ‘wings’ and set sail, full steam ahead. Although he played only five games last season, he showed enough glimpses and chemistry with fellow teammate Paul George on the court that had Clippers fans excited. The 28-year-old former 2nd-round draft pick out of UCLA was in Sin City working out at a local gym, when Norman says the stranger stormed through the door, saying she’d gotten into a fight and needed help.
“This girl is a crazy bro. She came earlier talking noise. I don’t know why she came back talking crazy, saying we’re not American, which is pretty crazy to me. How am I not American? I was born and raised here. My descendants are from Africa, yes, but I am an American. I was born here” Powell said, and rightly so.
“She came here the first time and was saying she got in a fight, We told her to leave out the back. She left, she was gone for about 15, 20 minutes, came back, staying in the gym calling us un-American, saying we need to go back, calling us pu**y a**, whole bunch of sh*t” Powell narrated during his live stream on Instagram, which had his fans give him hilarious tips to get rid of her.
“We was trying to get her to leave and then she was trying to take her pants off and take a sh*t or p*ss on the floor,” he added. “And that’s when we pulled her out like, we can’t have that.”
Norman Powell made sure that the authorities had been called, the woman didn’t believe him and can be heard in the background yelling, “Don’t lie.” The NBA player then turned the camera to show another person at the gym, revealing that the individual was on the phone with the cops in regard to the situation. The former second-round draft pick also informed the woman that she was being filmed on Instagram Live
The harasser even claimed that she was a slave and that she is “black” because her name is “Howard.” How her assertions will prove to be wrong before the whole incident is over will be one of the funniest things caught on live video. The harassment didn’t go unpunished as cops arrived at the gym in Vegas and detained the woman in question. The funniest thing was that she turned out to be white after vehemently claiming that she was “black” and was a “slave.” Norman seemed to handle the situation in the best way possible, but nobody should go through such discrimination and harassment. Powell should be back in the NBA soon, and hopefully in red-hot shape and form !
