Things get heated during Clippers vs Pistons game after Norman Powell’s brutal cut; Fans react

Today the Los Angeles Clippers were up against the Detroit Pistons. It was supposed to be a routine game for either team. The Clippers are vying to keep their hot streak alive on their way to the top of the West. The Pistons are trying to avoid being the worst team in the league. The battle of David vs Goliath was supposed to go the usual way. Except, it took a bloody turn. Norman Powell of the Clippers was the victim. A cut to his forehead led to a lot of blood on the floor. Basketball fans left shocked.

With five minutes left in the game, Normal Powell and the Pistons’ Jalen Duren go up for a rebound. Duren’s trying’s attempt to tap the ball in did not succeed. While both returned to the ground, Duren’s elbow hit Powell in the face. Powell immediately grabbed his right eye and fell to the ground. When team staff attended to him, blood was everywhere on the floor. The amount of blood would generally seem like Powell received a pretty bad cut. Team medical staff helped Powell walk to the medical room.

Norman Powell has been one of the main contributors for the Clippers this season. His energy and production off the bench have been crucial to the way the Clippers have turned their season around. To lose him to this injury will be a deterrent for them.

But the Clippers prevailed in this game despite the Pistons leading the game after three quarters. The Los Angeles Clippers used their fourth-quarter rally to win the game 112-106. The Clippers are now joint-top in the Western Conference.

Fans could not believe the amount of blood from Norman Powell

Norman Powell’s injury caught everyone off guard. For many, it reminded fans of the bloodshed the Pistons’ own Isaiah Stewart suffered several moons ago. In Stewarts’ case, the blood did not go anywhere other than on his face and towels. But in Powell’s case, the blood left on the floor left fans in shock.

Norman Powell should recover from this soon. The blood may make it seem like it was an extremely horrible injury, but thankfully it wasn’t.
