The duo of Draymond Green and LeBron James is back in the NBA headlines. And, this time the reason isn’t them showing off their friendship. As we have Draymond Green turned into an analyst as he breaks down LeBron James’ play during the Western Conference Semifinals Game 1 between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. The former DPOY has done some solid research regarding LeBron James’ play and has sent out some facts.
The Los Angeles Lakers have started their playoff run with a different approach. As they are using the depth of their team to get the job done and they are running what works the best for them. LeBron James lately has been playing a lot of off-the-ball basketball and to some extent that has aged fair for the team. In Game 1, of the Western Conference Semifinals, LeBron James wasn’t the guy putting all the work in while handling the ball. As Dennis Schroder, Austin Reaves, and D’Angelo Russell were rolling for that purpose. And, Draymond Green and the Warriors have noticed the change.
The Los Angeles Lakers won the game at 117-112. And, the Golden State Warriors were just not able to close the lead out in clutch time. And, that’s when LeBron James did his GOAT thing to sign the winning deal. Stephen Curry in the game got 27 points, Klay Thompson chipped in 25 points and Jordan Poole backed them with 21. Draymond Green though just contributed with 6 points, maybe he was busy analyzing LeBron James’ game.
The Dubs weren’t just enough to battle it out against the dynamic duo of LeBron James (22 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists) and Anthony Davis (30 points, 23 rebounds, and 2 assists). But with Game 2 just hours away things may take a turn. As Draymond Green and the Dubs have done their homework and with the correct adjustments made they can catch the Lakers and tie the series at 1-1.

Draymond Green found LeBron James playing off the ball “weird”. In the latest episode of his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show” he analyzed James’ game. And, while doing so, he quoted: “LeBron is playing a totally different style, a totally different game than we’ve ever seen him play before. And it’s interesting figuring it out. You’re not used to seeing LeBron off the ball so much. And so, I thought that was interesting and something that we’ll have to adjust to. It’s just not your typical LeBron running the show, which is a bit weird.”
Draymond Green really knows a lot about his rumored best friend’s game. And, so does the Warriors coaching staff and management. So the Dubs approaching the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers with some new plays, techniques and adjustments made is very possible. As Stephen Curry isn’t a quitter and he single-handedly can embarrass the entire Lakers’ team. So the basketball world should be ready to admire greatness against greatness. As LeBron James is hunting a few more titles too. Game 2 is scheduled for Thursday, May 4 at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT.
