Kendrick Perkins didn’t seem to empathize with Kawhi Leonard’s injured absence from the Clippers’ game against the Suns. Also, not the first one to slander Leonard and George, the first being analyst Stephen A Smith. On Clippers’ Game 3 loss to the Suns, Perkins took it to a next level, warning the players of dire consequences. While in a conversation at NBA Today, Kendrick Perkins went on a rant against Leonard and George. Many things were said as he signaled the “uselessness” of both the star players at the Clippers.

Kendrick Perkins, in an episode of NBA Today went no-holds-barred against Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. This came after Clippers lost yet another game to the Phoenix Suns, again in the absence of Leonard. “The Klaw” injured his right knee and sat out of Game 2, which makes it all 3 losses faced by Clippers. Perkins said, “If I’m Steve Ballmer & Lawrence Frank, I’m giving Kawhi Leonard & Paul George 1 more year… They’re going into their 4th season together & have accomplished nothing. It’s unfair to Tyronn Lue.”

Perkins stressed the fact that the duo hadn’t achieved anything at the Clippers franchise. His criticism represented the frustration of LA fans who were fed up with the players’ unavailability. While Perkins specifically said that he wasn’t invalidating the injury, he also saw no point in keeping the players in the squad. He added that Leonard and George were getting old and anything more than a year would be unfair to coach Ty Lue.

In a bid to level the series at 2-2, the LA Clippers faced off against the Phoenix Suns. They were ultimately outmatched, losing by 12 points with a final score of 100-112. The loss extended the Suns’ lead to 3-1, leaving the Clippers to fetch for answers. The more disappointing bit involved Clippers’ unsuccessful home-court advantage to shape the series for good. Prior to the game, Clippers fans had managed to rile up Kevin Durant, who went on to lead his team to victory with 31 points, six assists, and 11 rebounds. Booker also had a strong showing with 30 points, seven assists, and nine rebounds, while Chris Paul contributed 19 points.

In contrast, the Clippers struggled without their star player Kawhi Leonard, who has now missed two consecutive games. This has raised more concerns at their front office. The All-star’s availability for the next game, which is a must-win situation for the Clippers, is uncertain. This will surely add to the team’s already mounting worries.

Despite a standout performance from Russell Westbrook, who scored 37 points and added four assists and six rebounds, the Clippers lacked a strong backup plan beyond Leonard. Norman Powell and Terence Mann added 14 and 13 points respectively, but it was not enough to secure the win.

The Clippers will face the Suns once again in a do-or-die game on Tuesday, leaving them with a lot of pressure to perform and turn the series around.
