Patrick Beverley is known throughout the league for being a bully. His defence is one that is feared by many players and is a menace to all teams, especially the Laker. But with the trade that brings him back to Los Angeles except this time he’ll be wearing the purple and gold for the Lakers.

As reported on Wednesday night, Patrick Beverly is traded to LA with the Lakers sending Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson to the Utah Jazz. The 34-year-old quickly turned to Twitter to show his excitement. While there is a lot of history and agitation between Beverely and Lakers nation, the addition of Beverly to the squad will be one to look forward to.

Patrick Beverley is a skilled defender and that is just what the Lakers need. The Lakers lost a lot of games in blow-outs and allowing leads because of weak defense. Patrick Beverley is a floor general and is vocal about pointing out the mistakes of his teammates. The Lakers will benefit hugely from someone like him.

Lonzo’s Welcome To L.A spoilt by Beverly

With Beverly coming to L.A, fans started bringing past interactions of him with the team. One of them being the time when Lonzo Ball’s debut game with the Lakers was tarnished by Patrick Beverley. He locked down Ball and held him to only 3 points on 1-6 shooting.

It was just bad fate for the rookie to be matched up with a veteran that too of Beverley’s level, The rookie looked hesitant with Beverley all up in his face and with his antics, Ball kept losing his focus and composure and missed multiple shots.

While Beverley is a good pickup for the Lakers, He has not made a good image on this side of Hollywood, and Patrick Beverely has often criticised players from the Lakers roster and with animosity between them, it is to be wondered if this team could work well together.
