76ers star Patrick Beverley reveals how late rapper DMX helped get into NBA from Ukraine
The Philadelphia 76ers star Patrick Beverley mourns the death of his favorite rapper DMX and shares the importance of his music in his life since his childhood.

In a heartfelt revelation, the Philadelphia 76ers star guard Patrick Beverley in his appearance on his podcast called “The Pat Bev” podcast shared a personal connection with late rapper DMX and how his music played a huge part in his life, from the start of his basketball career from Ukraine to the NBA. DMX who was known for his music in the genre of hardcore hip hop was said to be a significant part of Patrick’s life since his childhood days.
Beverly in his conversation on the podcast shared that along with him his mother also was a huge admirer of late rapper DMX’s tracks. He reveals that his music was one of the main tracks that he used to listen to through his car rides or during his basketball practice as an up-and-coming basketball player in high school.

Beverley in the discussion mourns the loss of one of his favorite rappers and also reveals that his music is one of the reasons that got him through his journey as a basketball player to the one of world’s most famous sporting leagues, i.e. the NBA. Beverley was the 42nd pick in the 2009 NBA draft and was initially picked up by the Los Angeles Lakers.
