“They have seen this movie before” Patrick Beverley picks Golden State Warriors to dominate the WCF against the inexperienced Mavericks
Patrick Beverley on Warriors
The Golden State Warriors are far from the end of their dominance. The team has been one of the biggest game-changers in the league shaping it into a very fast-paced and high-scoring atmosphere. The core that won the title three times in the last decade may see one more headed their way to another.
Usually, we would see Stephen Curry dominate the floor offensively while his teammates did the needful on defense. But this season, we have witnessed each individual player contributing equally to help the Dubs franchise rise from their two-year hiatus. The Warriors are currently headed up against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
Golden State Warriors close out the Semifinals in Game 6 advancing into the WCF
The Golden State Warriors showed immense fight in the second round of the playoffs versus the Memphis Grizzlies. The young team led by Ja Morant almost seemed like they were going to bounce back to win the series after winning Game 5 without their All-Star leader. But the veteran team used their experience against their opponents to bag a win and move ahead.
Game 6 had the Warriors erupt on defense recording 10 blocks while offensively tackling the Grizzlies as well. They shot 39.4% from the field, 37.7% from the three-point range, and 72.7% from the free-throw line. The infamous Game 6 Klay Thompson led the team with 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists shooting 8 three-pointers in the mix. Curry had an additional 29 points to help elevate them further past Memphis.
Patrick Beverley says Warriors will hold Luka Doncic down
Patrick Beverley was a long-time rival for the Golden State Warriors and Curry during the last decade. He has had multiple battles against them in the playoffs during his stint with the LA Clippers. He has a few valid points to convey while he was joined by the cast of ESPN.
He said, “I think from a basketball stand of point, I think they’re going to wear him (Luka Doncic) down. I think they have seen this movie before. This is one team that is ready and that has been tested.” Luka Doncic became the third player in NBA history to average 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists per game in the playoffs. The Mavericks have a winning record against the Warriors from the regular season but considering that they have a well-experienced troop coming their way, it may not be an easy series.
