Patrick Beverley ASTONISHINGLY reveals his ultimate goal of ‘knocking’ LeBron James and Lakers out of the playoffs

Apparently, the former Los Angles Lakers guard Patrick Beverley has some grudge left after being traded before the trade deadline. After joining the Chicago Bulls, the guard stated that his goal this season is to knock the Lakers out of the playoffs. During the trade deadline, he was moved to the Orlando Magic, who sent big man Mo Bamba to the Lakers. Maybe Beverley understands that the most essential thing for his former team is to win the remaining regular-season games and qualify for the playoffs.

Beverley signed a contract with the Bulls after a buyout from the Magic. As the regular season is nearing an end, the Bulls face the Lakers twice in the remaining games. The guard is well aware that the Lakers are on the ropes, and that each game determines their fate for the season. Their first encounter would take place on March 26 at the Crypto.com arena. The second clash is three days later, on March 29.

When Beverley was asked about his emotions facing them for the first time since being traded, he said he wants to knock them out of the playoff.“We play the Lakers twice. Knock them out the playoffs,” he said. With the current record and remaining 23 games in the season, the Lakers are 13th in the Western Conference. These last 23 games are perhaps the most games for the Lakers. After facing the Bulls in the regular season, Los Angeles would be left with six games in the season.

Can Patrick Beverley and the Bulls ruin the Lakers’ chances for playoffs?

While Beverley played 45 games with the Lakers this season, he was impressive from the field. However, his defensive prowess was largely not on display, except on certain occasions. He averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. He was shooting 40.2 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from 3-point range. While these 23 games are of utmost importance for the Lakers, two games with the Bulls wouldn’t have a dire effect on them.

Moreover, the Bulls are already having a difficult season so far, and knowing that Lonzo Ball is out for the season was a massive blow for them. Beverley is a nice addition to complement Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan in the Bulls’ lineup. However, Ball was an essential part of the Bulls’ lineup and could have provided some essential minutes for his team and make some plays on both sides of the floor.
