It is a well-known affair that anything Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James urges becomes the talk of the talk. So, when a clip from the unreleased episode of The Shop went viral, King James can be witnessed admitting to buy a team. Given that Forbes has already declared LeBron as an official billionaire, his desire might soon become a reality.
Patrick Beverley, who has been known to make unique opinion in the 2022 NBA playoffs after his Timberwolves crashed out of the postseason, went onto embrace the business acumen of LeBron James and suggested that he could be a great team owner. Given that Timberwolves vet has huge respect for the 37-year-old, he was quick to acknowledge the same on the latest episode of ESPN’s Just in.

LeBron James reveals desire to own team in LA
Beverley said, “I just think he’s been an intelligent businessman like we’ve seen him throughout the years of his career. Obviously starting with Nike, Nike campaign, I Promise School, I just think it’s a brilliant move.”
He added, “Obviously, he’s not a guy who plays checkers a lot, he’s definitely a chess player based on the moves he made for himself and his personal identity. And he’ll be a great owner too.”
That being said, the Minnesota Timberwolves point guard was referring to LeBron James’ call to bet on himself and sign up with Nike instead of Reebok. It’s a deal that has turned out to be one of the biggest and shrewdest moves by any businessman, let alone an athlete. Talking about certain stats, after endorsing Nike since entering the NBA, The Swoosh gave him a lifetime contract, which is believed to be worth $32 million a season.
LeBron James has already taken over small shares in different sensational franchises, be it Boston Red Sox or Liverpool. But given that owning a team in LA could cost a lot of money, LeBron surely is the man to undertake measures and guarantee to add to his portfolio. Hopefully he talks in detail upon his particular desire when the entire episode drops on the internet.
