The origin of James Harden’s iconic step back three pointer
James Harden is considered one of the best shooters in the NBA. The player is also famous for his three-point shooting ability. Like many other players in the league, Harden has a signature move called the step-back three. The move is considered one of the hardest to guard.
The name is self-explanatory as the player dribbles and steps back at the three-point line and shoots a jumper, tricking his defender. Harden first did the move in the 2019 season, in the same season he was named the MVP. The move has become famous ever since and many have tried to attempt it.
The move has resulted in many close game wins for his teams. This season, Harden is not on his best performance as he is averaging 17.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 8.3 assists. Despite his performance, the Clippers have been doing well since his joining as they are the 4th best team in the Western Conference.
