“Dude is the Dillon Brooks of the Clippers” – Paul George gets CLOWNED for bold promise after team’s season-ending loss to Suns

Paul George was ridiculed on twitter, yet again, for being all talk as this time the Clippers star was compared to Dillon Brooks.

Phoenix Suns dominated the Los Angeles Clippers throughout the series to clinch Round 1 of the playoffs. The Devin Booker-led team outclassed the Clippers 4-1 as they cruised past the rivals to the Western Conference Semi-finals. Such a routing for the Clippers didn’t come as a complete surprise, as the team lacked a player they could rely on. Russell Westbrook was the sole ranger, Kawhi Leonard injured himself midway through Game 2, and Paul George was nowhere to be found.

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, the players seen as game-changers, did not even play any games together. Leonard played two games before being ruled out due to injury, whereas George could only make comments outside of the court. This was George and Leonard’s fourth year together, and they only made one Western Conference Finals trip throughout that time.

On an episode of “Podcast P,” Goerge spoke about getting the Clippers back on track at some point. He also talked about how they are going to carry all the burden of the loss. He said, “To the Clippers fans, we carry that burden. We gonna get this sh*t right at some point.”

Regardless, Paul George remains dedicated to the cause. He’s still under contract with the Clippers until 2025, albeit the last year is a player option. Whatever the case, PG will have at least one more year with the Clippers to prove that his duo with Kawhi Leonard is not a failure.

The LA Clippers were kicked out of Round 1 of the playoffs by the Devin Booker-led Phoenix Suns. Devin Booker’s 47-point performance propelled the Phoenix Suns to get a win against the Clippers in Game 5. This win secured the team’s spot in the Western Conference semi-finals. Even though the Suns were trailing by a significant margin in the second half, they rallied to win 136-130.

Kevin Durant and Deandre Ayton showed up alongside Booker in a combined effort to get the dub. The Suns overcame an opening game loss to win the next four games and advance to the next round.

George’s statements came in after this loss to the Suns, resulting in fans fuming at the player. While some compared him to the Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks, others ridiculed him differently. Look at some of those tweets below.

Despite Paul George making such statements of reaffirmation, it’ll be interesting to see what his future with the Clippers will be like. While fans will still wait for something better next season, some big organizational changes cannot be ruled out.
