Phil Jackson there claimed he’s not been watching NBA since 2020 as he didn’t like the slogans on the player’s jerseys and suggested that people want to see sports as non-political. “I watched the game evolve and then they went into the lockout year and did something that was kind wanky, they did a bubble down in Orlando,” he said.
He further added, “All the teams that could qualify went down there and stayed down there, no audience, and they have things on their back like ‘Justice’ and a funny thing happened like ‘Justice went to the basket and Equal Opportunity knocked him down’… Some of my grandkids thought it was pretty funny to play up those names, I couldn’t watch that. The Lakers won that year…”
Since then, fans and the genuine basketball world have been very critical of him. And now, Skip Bayless came ahead to put him in his place. Recently Miami Heat hosted the Milwaukee Bucks at FTX Arena for Game 4 of the first-round playoffs series between them. Jimmy Butler single-handedly carried Heat on his back, winning it all at 119-114. He dropped 56 points, two assists, and nine rebounds on Bucks’ Head. His career night just brought in great chances for the Heat to advance.
His performance wasn’t just record-making and breaking but also one of the best ever spectated. But unfortunately, Phil Jackson missed that, as he isn’t watching any ball since 2020.
