The Minnesota Timberwolves secured the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference with a win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. However, the victory was marred by a couple of incidents that occurred during the game. The Minnesota Timberwolves clinched the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. Nonetheless, the game was overshadowed by a few events that took place during the match.

First, Rudy Gobert, the Timberwolves’ center, was sent home after punching his teammate Kyle Anderson. Gobert, who is known for his defensive prowess, could face further disciplinary action for his actions. On the other hand, Anderson did not retaliate but looked visibly aggravated.

Despite the incident, Gobert recently spoke highly of Anderson’s leadership qualities. “Kyle wants to win and sometimes he’s a little aggressive in the way he talks, but I don’t take it personally,” Gobert said. “I receive it in a positive way because it comes from a place of wanting me to be the best Rudy I can be and wanting us to win.”

In a separate incident, Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels fractured his hand after punching a wall in the tunnel during the game against the Pelicans. McDaniels returned to the bench with a towel over his injured hand. It remains unclear what caused the young player to lose his cool, but the injury could impact his team in the near future.

While fights between teammates are not unheard of, incidents like these are usually kept private. The Timberwolves fans are worried that their team may be in trouble heading into the play-in tournament against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.

Many fans mocked the Timberwolves for their lack of success, labeling them a “poverty franchise.” Some fans suggested that the incidents were reflective of deeper issues within the team, such as poor team chemistry and lack of leadership.

Many fans also took the opportunity to criticize Gobert, who has been involved in controversial incidents in the past. Some fans suggested that Gobert’s actions indicated a lack of discipline and professionalism.
