“That’s America” President Joe Biden delivers message to Warriors ahead of White House championship visit

Stephen Curry and Joe Biden

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have won the NBA championship for the year 2022, and there’s no doubt that they deserved it. They have caught the interest of many throughout the world, including the President of USA, Joe Biden. President Biden recently congratulated Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on their NBA championship victory, calling Curry’s performance “legendary.” He’s also promised that he’ll see the team at the White House, which is a tradition for sports teams when they win a title.

For the fourth time in eight years, the Golden State Warriors have won the NBA championship, defeating the Boston Celtics in six games on Thursday night to cap off an incredible season. Throughout the playoffs, but especially in the Finals, the Warriors played like a solid group. Stephen Curry was incredible and stole the show, but Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green also made a big impression throughout . After missing the playoffs in each of the previous two seasons, the Dubs returned with a reprisal in the 2021-22 season.

A blowout in Boston to earn the fourth title in eight years for Stephen Curry and the Warriors

The Golden State Warriors won their fourth NBA title in eight years on Thursday night, defeating the Boston Celtics 103-90 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals at TD Garden. Stephen Curry received the 2022 Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award after averaging 31.2 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5.2 three-pointers per game in the series. With the exception of a lackluster Game 5 in which he went 0-9 from three-point range, the NBA Finals have been all about Curry’s offense. Dealing with Boston was a nightmare but Curry once again rose to the occasion in the Game 6 victory.

Two major issues of Boston’s NBA Finals run have been their high turnover rate and Jayson Tatum’s failure to finish games in the fourth quarter. In a game that they needed to win, the Celtics handed up 22 turnovers. Tatum had five turnovers and only 13 points on 6-18 shooting in Game 6. and when the Celtics’ offense has failed, they’ve expected Tatum for a boost.

President Joe Biden reacts to the Warriors winning the NBA title

President Joe Biden made a big point of complimenting Finals MVP Stephen Curry and the Warriors on their tremendous achievement on Friday. It’s unclear when they’ll pay a visit to President Biden and the White House, but he’s certainly excited to meet everyone. Following their 2017 victory, the Warriors did not visit the White House under the Trump administration, and no NBA team did so for the duration of the former president’s term.

Many in the league disagree with former President Donald Trump’s ideas on policing, racial justice, and criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement. When Biden visited the Milwaukee Bucks to celebrate their title in November of last year, the NBA’s five-year vacation came to an end. Biden, a lifelong sports fan, has also entertained professional baseball, hockey, and football teams at the White House.
