“Couldn’t get 3 points with the lakers smh lol” Quinn Cook gets NBA fans talking after 54-point EXPLOSION with Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in China
Quinn Cook was a significantly underrated player when he played in the NBA. Despite his comparatively smaller height, he was able to get shots up at any time making his a weapon that was silent and lethal. Unfortunately, the former 2x NBA Champion did not land a contract with the league this time and was almost sent away to China.
In recent years, many prominent players have shifted to the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) as they are extremely desired in the country. Almost every player has been able to dominate overseas while they were mere role players in the NBA. This shows the difference in competition between the NBA and the rest of the world. But this does not mean other countries don’t have good athletes.
Recently, Quinn Cook has a massive outburst offensively in China. The Zhejiang Guangsha Lions acquired him not too long ago and Cook has almost immediately proven his worth. He exploded for 54 points within 28 minutes of playing time. This would’ve put him on a really high platform if it were in the NBA. He also shot 18-24 from the field including 12 strong three-pointers.
Quinn Cook impressed his overseas fans and viewers from all over the world. Especially, the ones watching from home in the United States. Fans were excited over his performance as it is something that only stars like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker as others have done in recent past. Here is what fans had to say:
Quinn Cook’s unfortunate departure from the NBA
Quinn Cook thrived with the Golden State Warriors winning a championship with them back in 2018. He was used a Curry’s replacement in rotation. The following season, he bounced between the main leagues and the G-League for a while before landing a full-time contract with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019. He also contributed to their 2020 champion as well.
After having a few failed attempts with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings, this season, he decided it was time to take his talents abroad where he knew he would thrive. He signed with Lions team last month. He averaged 6.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in the NBA.
