“No man should put hands on women” Rajon Rondo settles his battery and assault lawsuit off the court

Rajon Rondo is back in the NBA headlines and the reason isn’t him getting a deal or coming into conversations with a team. Instead, it’s about the 2020 incident where he and his girlfriend assaulted a woman in the parking lot. Just after two months of winning his second championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. This news made headlines seconds after it was revealed and it shocked many around. As Rajon Rondo and his girlfriend were sued for $1 million.
It all started when Rajon Rondo lost his cool watching how close Toktam Jorshari parked her car to his $300,000 worth Rolls-Royce. They argued for some good time but soon things went a bit physical as they tried to hurt and hit each other. In the viral video of the whole altercation, Rajon Rondo was caught elbowing her before his girlfriend attacked Toktam and literally jumped her up by swinging some good punches. While the player after permitting it stood there and enjoyed it for a while.
Toktam Jorshari’s legal team dragged Rajon Rondo to the court and they even had video evidence. So the point guard had a great chance of ending up in serious trouble. But again we shouldn’t forget that he’s one of the smartest basketball brains out there. And, even here he showed out his smartness and got away in style by settling the case outside the court. Now both the parties are just waiting for a judge to dismiss it.
The legal team of Toktam Jorshari who was pushed to the ground by the two-time NBA Champion and then beaten up by his girlfriend has made a sensible statement. Where they quoted: “No man should ever put their hands on a woman…Especially an NBA basketball player with superior height and strength.” Yeah, they aren’t wrong with that as the guys who make it to the league are some of the best players out there who have some real strength. As balling out isn’t easy.
The video evidence, injuries and claims all favored Toktam Jorshari so going against her in the courtroom would be nothing but foolish. So Rajon Rondo showed off his great IQ and settled it all outside the court. The initial amount was $1 million and now many claim that he had to pay a hefty price to the woman to get rid of the case.
Will Rajon Rondo bounce back into the league?
Rajon Rondo is still out of a deal and is a free agent in the market. The last few years have been tough for him even though he got himself a ring but was never able to find a team to stick with. Still, he has chances of joining hands with teams like Charlotte Hornets, Utah Jazz, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder and every other team with a young core which needs a veteran around.
As fans are really forgetting how great prime Rondo was and how capable he still is. Having him on the roster doesn’t just brings experience to the table but also improves everyone around. As he really is a genius and one of the best guys out there to get the job done as a guard.
