The New Orleans Pelicans recently invited rapper Boosie, aka Boosie BadAzz, to perform at halftime. Teams send several invites to artists, bands, dancers, and other well-known personalities. Every NBA game is special, as there are always fans in the stands for the first time. To make their experience more entertaining, a halftime show where franchises organize a challenge for a random fan or a short performance is pretty common in the league.

Recently, Boosie exposed the New Orleans Pelicans after he received an invitation to perform. The franchise offered $1,000 for a halftime performance, while not availing Boosie with courtside seats. He did try to get the same seats, but couldn’t get any for himself.

Every time I try to getting courtside tickets, I can't get courtside tickets. They offered me $1K to perform at the halftime show... Atlanta pay 10000, 7500 to perform today's artists... and courtside seats. Pelicans told me they had $1K for me to perform twice in one night.
Boosie said in his recent Instagram Live

This was bad on the franchise’s part, as not availing courtside seats for the artist did seem to be out of order. However, things took a turn following Boosie’s video, taking rounds on Twitter. The complaints from Boosie were heard all over the internet.

Boosie did attend the Pelicans versus Hawks game post his rant

After his rant on the Pelicans offering him to perform at halftime without courtside tickets, Boosie was seen enjoying the game from courtside seats. Boosie went on to post stories on his Instagram, as he enjoyed every bit of the game. Not only that, but Boosie was heavily impressed by Zion Williamson‘s performance, who dropped 27 points. The Pelicans took the game 116-103.

The Pelicans are 5th in the West, cruising their way to the playoffs. Led by Brandon Ingram, CJ McCollum, and Williamson, the Pelicans are doing pretty well this season. Previously, the New Orleans team missed the postseason, though they now look to bounce back into the playoff picture. It will be interesting to see how they manage to maintain their standings in the West, with not a lot of games left in the season.

Hopefully, as the team progresses to perform even better, the franchise shall not be shy to invite other artists to perform at halftime. It isn’t confirmed whether Boosie agreed to perform at the initial terms offered by the franchise.
