Draymond Green is leading the charge for the Golden State Warriors to return to the playoff rankings. Such is his drive and determination, that he has kept himself out of any controversies, or clashes with opponents as well as officials. All he has done is play at an elite level and help his team get victories along the way. But tonight, against the Los Angeles Clippers, Green did something that has fans bemused.

Tonight’s game against the Clippers was a daunting task. The game saw a few clashes between the opposing players. But in the 4th quarter, Draymond Green’s hand gestures to a fan sitting courtside were captured live on national television. Draymond first gestured that he has four rings, and then cringed. This clipping has fans wondering what he meant. It might mean that he was taunting the fan that he has more rings than the Clippers franchise.

Since Draymond Green returned to the starting lineup, the Warriors have set a 7-2 record and inched themselves back into the play in rankings. The Warriors wanted to use their momentum to topple a Clippers team who themselves were on a phenomenal run. Green and the Warriors used this momentum to lead after three quarters.

This is when Green gestured to the fan. He probably wanted to show his confidence that he is a 4-time champion. The Warriors eventually lost the game after the Clippers stormed back in the 4th quarter. The final scoreline of 130-125 undermined the Warriors’ hard work throughout the game. They return to play against Utah tomorrow.

Fans scratch their heads with Draymond Green’s gestures

For all of Draymond Green’s efforts to stay away from controversy, he could not hold back from this altercation with a fan. His gestures have left fans bewildered as to what he was trying to do or show. The clip has gone on to be viewed a lot of times. Maybe it was his competitiveness that prompted him to try and prove his point.
