Rich Eisen has made his way to the NBA headlines as he called out Patrick Beverley the returning star of Los Angeles. The Lakers recently acquired him in a blockbuster trade to improve their defensive end something they lacked on last season. Also, that’s a very good addition to the backcourt, especially under new Head Coach Darvin Ham’s system. But Patrick Beverley has been moving a bit mad and already making noise with the Lakers so Rich Eisen had to humble him up.
Patrick Beverley has refused to bow down to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. And, he is already out with trolls for his own teammates during his very first media interactions. As when a reporter asked him about being able to play with LeBron James and Anthony Davis he didn’t give them any respect and changed the whole narrative by taking over them. Exactly what we know Patrick Beverley for as he is crowned with the tag of one of the best trash-talkers in the league.
So Patrick Beverley cutting the reporter in between took a jump and quoted: “They are going to play with me. I made the playoffs last year they didn’t.” Honestly, he can say that as that’s the reality and the Lakers need him at the moment. But still, that’s not how anyone is expected to answer when asked about the stars of the team, especially during the very first media interactions.
This reply of Patrick Beverley caught many eyes around and was viral on the internet in just some seconds and was proving why Pat is known as a menace to the society. So Rich Eisen humbled him down by discussing his highlights from the last season where he led the Minnesota Timberwolves to the playoffs by winning and putting up a banner during the play-in tournament.

I know Pat Beverley has a chip on his shoulder, and I know so many athletes be a certain way and talk a certain way to be as good as they can be. But, at some point, a little bit of self-reflection is helpful and goes a long way!”

You have to be in order to be an NBA player and you gotta have that dog in you and all that, but come on!” The analyst is not wrong with his words as even though Pat had a better year last season that doesn’t mean he has the power to call out players like Bron and AD who are one of the best guys in the league. So it’s necessary for him to keep his trash-talking mouth zipped up or some bridges can be burnt and the Lakers will suffer the most with another L.
