“Inside the NBA is the best sports show ever” Rich Eisen highlights what a loss Charles Barkley would be for the NBA World
Imagine a scenario without having your favorite sports figure contributing his time towards your entertainment. That could be NBA without Charles Barkley associated with them or even the sport for that matter. The sportsman turned sports television icon has won several hearts during his time with Inside the NBA on TNT.
Recently, the former Philadelphia 76ers forward revealed that LIV Golf has been willing to partner with him soon. Director Greg Norman had apparently spoken to the legend over dinner and offered for him to call games. Chuck admitted that he was interested.
Charles Barkley admits he wants more money
Charles Barkley is under contract with TNT until 2025 along with long time friend Shaquille O’Neal. Fans of the show are not the happiest thinking about them spliting. The duo have been one of the best parts of the show and they bring the enthusiasm to it.
Chuck stated that Norman and LIV have yet to offer him a deal. He gave the franchise a deadline until Thursday after which he claimed that he will terminate any discussions or ideas finalising a contract. He also expressed that he expects nothing less than what he is earning with TNT and that it would take an astronomical deal to convince him to leave Inside the NBA.
Rich Eisen says Charles Barkley leaving TNT is a huge loss for the NBA
A very close friend of Charles Barkley had highlighted what it would mean for the NBA to lose him. Rich Eisen said, “He is the envy of any broadcasting he’s on. If he joins the LIV Tour, it seems that he runs the risk of no longer being in Turner, which would be a loss for all of us.”
“We would all lose out [and] not only because ‘Inside the NBA’ is arguably the best studio sports show ever and his insight on the NBA. If we lose that, it would be a loss for all of us.” It is obvious that Barkley knows how upsetting it would be for his fan base, he also admitted that he would like to work with both organisations simultaneously.
