“Neither of those fu****s are the best” Richard Jefferson brutally roasts LeBron James and Stephen Curry
Richard Jefferson, Stephen Curry and LeBron James
Stephen Curry’s season thus far has been an absolute roller coaster of a ride trying to get his team at the top and into the playoffs. Even though his efforts did work for the most part he did slip into a slump most of us did not see coming. Curry put up almost 30 points per game this season before hitting the All-Star weekend following which he took a slight step back.
Chef Curry suffered from an ankle injury a little over a month ago after colliding with Marcus Smart for a loose ball. The Golden State Warriors training staff called it a regular season for Steph but made tremendous efforts to get him back in shape for the playoffs. On the flip side, another league veteran and NBA great LeBron James missed out on the post-season after a very sluggish season by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Stephen Curry and the Warriors take Game 1 of the first round against the Denver Nuggets
Stephen Curry returned the play during the first round of the playoffs in the Warriors vs Nuggets series. Curry has yet to break out of a mild slump but his presence is enough to give them a boost regardless. The Warriors won 123-107 over the Nuggets while completely dominating on offense. The baby-faced assassin did not have much of a show out after finishing the game with 16 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds shooting 5-13 from the field.
Steph shed a little light on what to expect from him and the Warriors ahead of Game 1. He said, “I have no expectations on what’s next. We’re always trying to figure this out, because this is kinda a tough situation to deal with in terms of the quick ramp up that I’ve had. I learned a lot just from watching Klay’s comeback, knowing there’s an energy to start in terms of this is what I do and what I expect, but also how can I make these minutes the most impactful.”
Stephen Curry and LeBron James get roasted by former teammate
Stephen Curry and LeBron James have shared the court with many players in the league and have had multiple rivalries along the way with each other. A former teammate of both players, Richard Jefferson recently spoke to GQ about his thoughts on who was the better player between Curry and the King. He said, “Neither of those f***ers are the best. There’s guys that are far better than both of them. Maybe no far, but you would go Giannis, Jokic, Embiid. It all depends on season.”
RJ would reveal that Stephen Curry was easier to partner with as he is much calmer between the two. He said with LeBron there was always a fear of getting traded since he often plays the role of the “GM”. However, Jefferson would end up winning a championship with James against his then former teammate Curry and the Warriors. RJ also highlighted points in his career with Jason Kidd while he was with the Brooklyn Nets. He spoke on the relationship they shared along with Vince Carter. The former NBA player also explained why he never made an all-star team selection because he “always played with two all-stars.”
