“I’m gonna think about it all night. I should have dunked it,” Rudy Gobert left embarrassed after Shaqtin-A-Fool worthy fast break ending

On Friday night, Rudy Gobert played his greatest game for the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he acknowledged that a missed layup will still be on his mind. Gobert had a season-high 25 points on 11-for-15 shooting and 21 rebounds in the Wolves’ resounding 128-115 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at Target Center.
And as he ran coast to coast into the fourth quarter, he nearly sent the audience into raptures by sending Clippers‘ Moses Brown to lunch with a spectacular jump-fake but missed the easy layup and rebound. The play resulted in one of the most embarrassing moments out of the 2022-23 Season by a mile.
According to Wolves insider Dane Moore, when asked about the play after the game, Rudy Gobert said: “I was having a good time. But I’ll be thinking about it all night. I should’ve dunked it.” Despite the miss, Rudy Gobert had an outstanding night as the Wolves won their third game in a row. The Timberwolves will look to keep the momentum going as they travel to face the Houston Rockets on Sunday and the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

Should Rudy Gobert and Timberwolves be concerned about Anthony Edwards’ early exit?

Young shooting guard Anthony Edwards has been the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Iron Man thus far this season. In the first half of the 2022–23 NBA season, the Timberwolves have a 19–21 record, and Edwards is the only player to suit up and start all 40 games.
Before leaving the game early, Anthony Edwards had a really poor effort against the LA Clippers. Edwards played 23 minutes against the Clippers and finished with five points, three rebounds, five assists, one blocked shot, and three rebounds. With 7:53 left in the third quarter, he was forced to leave the game due to hip.
On Friday, December 30, during a terrifying defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks, Edwards sustained a hip/tailbone bruise. In addition to starting every Timberwolves game at the time, Edwards was also playing an alarmingly long average of 37 minutes each game.
If there are any lingering issues from the injury, or if the Minnesota Timberwolves training staff has any concerns, Edwards should be benched for the next two games. The Timberwolves will now face the Houston Rockets (10-29) on Sunday, January 8, 2023, and the Detroit Pistons (11-31) on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, on a two-game road trip.
The Timberwolves will play three games at home against the Phoenix Suns (20-20), Cleveland Cavaliers (25-15), and Utah Jazz (20-21). Edwards could be rested for the next two games because he is more crucial to the team’s strategy during the upcoming homestand.
