While Scottie Pippen is known to be the backbone of Chicago Bulls, there is also no denying that the popularity rate of him and Michael Jordan are beyond comparison. Many speculate the ‘Robin’ to be one of the most underpaid athletes of his time, yet some of his instances did manage to signify his frustration. One of which was his ‘spitting’ incident on a fan, who simply wanted his autograph.
However, this spoken off incident took place in 2013, when Scottie Pippen was having dinner in Nobu in Hollywood. As soon as he was about to leave the establishment, an unruly fan approached him for an autograph. After Pippen tried to escape the fan-filled-chaos, the particular fan decided to utter something which majorly pissed off the Chicago Bulls great as a brawl broke out.

The spoken off fan was named Camran Shafighi, who was assaulted by Pippen was taken to the hospital with several severe injuries. Camran filed a $4 million lawsuit against the 6x NBA Champion. After which, Scottie Pippen hired the best attorney possible in Mark Geragos. Under legal counsel, Michael Jordan’s ideal companion and teammate admitted to pushing and spitting on Shafighi.
The officials could never determine whether he was the aggressor or doing it all in self-defence. It did not help Camran’s case that he faked several injuries and even seizures to make Pippen look like the bad guy and squeeze more money out of him. Luckily for Scottie Pippen, the case was dismissed on the ground of – lack of evidence.
It was rather shocking incident to be known to all as Scottie Pippen has never come out as an aggressive player, even during his peak years. However, fortunately for Scottie, he survived this blow at the time when his wife, Larsa was being reported to have cheated on him several times. However, the same reason wasn’t mentioned in the case but it is indeed safe to say that Scottie Pippen has faced a tough time in his personal life in the previous decade.
