Scottie Pippen has been a regular name in the NBA headlines recently and once again we have him back as recently he chose Giannis Antetokounmpo over Charles Barkley in his all-time five. Both Charles Barkley and Giannis Antetokounmpo are legendary players as they have a stacked resume and are surely the best guys to trust in the paint. But Greek Freak has some edges over Sir Charles as he is an NBA champion, multiple times MVP of the league has a final MVP, and is a certified bus driver throughout his ongoing career. So drafting him in all-time five is very correct by Scottie Pippen.
Recently, Scottie Pippen appeared on “Trashtalks production” for promoting his book “Unguarded” which has been very controversial while reflecting his career. Even Charles Barkley said that the book is just destroying his relationship with Michael Jordan the guy he won six NBA championships with and had the best moments of his career. The 90’s Chicago Bulls are really a mystery since the release of the book as the story changes a bit compared to what the Michael Jordan’s documentary “The Last Dance” showcased. Scottie Pippen summed up his book by saying: “You can go learn about the greatest team of all-time and the greatest player of all-time” when asked why should one buy this.
In his promotional interview, he discussed a lot of things from Last Dance to the current league and even the defensive edge he is known for and even his coaches. But his all-time starting five has him in the headlines as everyone was stunned with him replacing Charles Barkley for Giannis Antetokounmpo just to make his squad better which indeed happens with the addition of the Bucks’ current leader.

Scottie Pippen when asked about his all-time starting five quoted: “I’ll take myself, Michael Jordan, Magic. Based on today’s game, it would be positionless, right? Yeah, so give me Charles Barkley. I want to still stick with the older players. I’ll take Shaq. I got a lot of offense… No no, you know what? Get rid of Barkley. Give me Giannis… I want Giannis at the four and then give me Shaq at the bottom.”
That move of him replacing the number 4 with Giannis Antetokounmpo for Charles Barkley is very correct as that increases the size and makes the defensive end as well as the offensive end stronger. But because of his recent activities where he has been taking shots at his long-time friends, many think it was done on purpose as he said “get rid of Barkley”. But nothing stands confirmed and many are waiting for Sir Charles to reply on it and enjoy another back and forth take between Chuck and Scottie Pippen.
