Jerami Grant is preparing for a big summer. The Portland Trail Blazers forward has confirmed to Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan that he has signed with Klutch Sports Group, the agency founded by Rich Paul and known for representing some of the biggest stars in the NBA including LeBron James of the Los Angles Lakers.
Grant, who will test free agency this summer, will be one of the most coveted players on the market. He had a career year with the Blazers, averaging 20.5 points per game on 47.5% shooting from the field and 40.1% from beyond the arc. He is also a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions with his 6-foot-8 frame and 7-foot-2 wingspan.
Grant’s decision to join Klutch Sports Group could fuel speculation that he might be interested in joining a team that has a strong connection to the agency, such as the Los Angeles Lakers.
Klutch Sports Group represents LeBron James and Anthony Davis of the Lakers, among others. Grant will be eligible to sign a five-year, $233.2 million deal with the Blazers or a four-year, $172 million deal with another team.
