Brooklyn Nets star player Kevin Durant thinks that his 96 rating in NBA 2k23 is ludicrous and he isn’t afraid about making his true feelings known open out. Hence, the former MVP believes that he should be given much higher rating as compared to what he has been given. Regarding the same, Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe didn’t seem to agree with Kevin and he lashed out back at the NBA player.

Shannon Sharpe said, “99 players don’t get swept in the first round. That’s why you’re not 99.” There were specific reasons as to why he believes Kevin doesn’t deserve a 99 rating. Sharpe was quick to comment on Kevin Durant that how easily he was swept off his feet by the Boston Celtics in the first round of last season’s playoffs. Sharpe seemed to have scratched the old wound by reminding the drubbing of Brooklyn Nets by the hands of Boston Celtics.

According to Shannon, Giannis is currently the best player in the NBA right now, and he should be rated higher in 2K than everyone else. Sharpe believes that Kevin will get his desired 99, if only Giannis manages to get to a 100. He doesn’t mind KD somehow getting refurbishes to 99. But he believes that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the one who is the best out of the rest.

Many people connected with the NBA league believe that the Brooklyn Nets didn’t make a genuine effort to help Kevin Durant find a new home. According to NBA reporter Ethan Strauss, the Nets made a fake attempt to trade Durant as their ultimate goal was getting KD to stay back in Brooklyn. Rich Kleiman, Kevin Durant’s business manager, had also told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that Durant had requested a trade out of Brooklyn and that the Nets had agreed to work with KD to find a trade partner. But the Nets management were working very slowly towards getting a trade for him and unfortunately Kevin had no option but to stay back with the Brooklyn Nets for the 2022-2023 season.
