“Imma say there’s 10% chance” Shannon Sharpe gets brutally honest on LeBron James’ possibility of playing alongside Bronny
Bryce James, Bronny James, LeBron James
The name LeBron James stands for dominance. Similarly, LeBron James stands for longevity, and LeBron James stands for determination. Undoubtedly these are the things that allowed him to win multiple awards and made him the face of the league in the process. Putting a major emphasis on his body has allowed the LA Lakers star to still be one of the league’s top players heading into his 20th season. While there are great chances of LeBron James making 3-4 seasons with his dedication and hard work, fans are eager to watch him play with his children one day in the league.
The NBA has seen countless father-son combinations across generations, but it’s rare for a father to play alongside his own child – and not only in an exhibition game but an 82-game season. That is one of the final goals for LeBron James as his career winds down. Currently, “Bronny” James is 17 years old, and his younger brother Bryce is 15 years old. Determined LeBron has a great chance of playing with both of his kids, who are regularly seen with him in his Gym.
Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe recently spoke about the idea of LeBron James playing with his sons in the NBA. He feels there’s a good chance with his oldest, but sticking around to play with Bryce could be a challenging one.
LeBron James is making every season count with high-end game-play.
Currently, in his late thirties, there is no telling when LeBron James might decide to hang it up for good in the coming seasons. Many speculated about his retirement right after the 2020 championship, and he’s already begun talking about his life after basketball. He even said that he is looking to own a team in Las Vegas. While all those are very much achievable goals, there is one thing James still has on his checklist before he shuts the book on his playing days.
At 37 years old, he averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists. James delivered championship for every NBA Team he played in, and despite the team’s poor show in 2022, going off that level of production, he still has some gas left in the tank. If he can keep away from any major injury, he would be certain to play with Bronny in 2024 and be seen practicing more than ever with the budding star.
Shannon Sharpe weighs in on the possibility of LeBron James playing with his sons in the NBA. Looking at the progress made by the kids and their ages, Sharp said, “LeBron is putting all of his eggs in Bronny’s basket. I’m gonna say yes to Bronny, I’m gonna say no to Bryce.”
While later giving some chance to young Bryce, the 54-year-old analyst said, “I’ma say there’s 10% chance that he hangs around long enough to play with Bryce. I’m a say there’s 90% chance that he plays with Bronny.”
Age-wise there is little doubt over LeBron and talented Bronny playing in the league together, but Bryce can also get his chance if he proves himself early enough to get drafted right after turning 18. Looking at it now, LeBron James will get to play with at least one of his children. While a team might still be willing to sign LeBron four years from now, there is no telling how he might look at that point.
