Brown, a former No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, questioned LeBron’s greatness and accused him of stat-padding. Sharpe didn’t hold back in his response, blasting Brown for his disrespectful remarks.
Sharpe questioned Brown’s motives, asking, “What’s his endgame here? You talking about what Kobe would’ve done, what you would’ve done? What have you done?” It was a direct challenge to Brown’s credibility, reminding him of his own underwhelming career in the NBA. Brown, who was once the No. 1 overall draft pick, has faced extensive criticism for failing to live up to the expectations associated with his high draft position.
“Kwame, of all the people, he should never ever question anybody’s greatness. Because this is what we know, if there was a Mount Rushmore for busts in NBA history, whether he’s the first head, the second head, the third, or the fourth, he’s on Mount Rushmore of bust NBA players. There’s no question. And then he’s going to question a guy that’s top 5 of the greatest players to ever play.”
Taking the criticism to the next level, Sharpe stated, “Kwame, of all the people, he should never ever question anybody’s greatness.” Sharpe highlighted Brown’s place on the hypothetical “Mount Rushmore of busts in NBA history,” implying that Brown’s lackluster performance in the league disqualifies him from questioning the greatness of players like LeBron James.

“I think it was better. Being a bust is better,” Brown said. “LeBron can’t do what I can do. They take pictures everywhere he go. I was a bust—ain’t nobody taking pictures of me everywhere I went.”
