Chris Paul and his run with the Phoenix Suns has been a dream in the making for a couple of decades. The team has been playing exceptional basketball this season and stands as one of the strongest contenders in the Western Conference at the moment. Last year they had the opportunity to win the title but ultimately failed against the Milwaukee Bucks who were simply just stronger at the time.
The Suns finished at the top of the league a new franchise record of 64 wins and 18 losses. They were able to blaze past their first-round opponents closing out the series in six games. Devin Booker had missed a couple of games during the series due to a hamstring injury. The team still managed to accumulate the wins to get through.

Phoenix was able to take home two early victories that gave them a good start. But it seems that home-court advantage played a big role in those wins as they would lose Games 3 and 4. The Suns’ offense has taken a slight step back and the Mavs are taking leverage over the situation. In their latest game, Phoenix did not shoot well from beyond the arc draining only 9 of 25 attempts.
Booker once again tried his best to keep the team afloat leading them with 35 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists. Deandre Ayton could increase his productivity by scoring within the paint which is his specialty. Chris Paul did not have a good game finishing with 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists on 23 minutes of court time which was because he was in foul trouble.
Mavericks fan harasses Chris Paul’s mother and wife
After Dallas had won the game, an unruly young teenage fan shoved Chris Paul’s mother and wife. The act did not settle well with the fans who came to watch the game up close. CP3’s mother would explain that the fans tried wishing her mother’s day repeatedly even after he asked him to stop bothering her. Paul reacted on Twitter saying, “Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans but the fans can put their hands on our families… f*** that.”
Analyst and former football player, Shannon Sharpe criticized the situation regarding the incident. He said, “Chris Paul does everything he does, for his family… its just unacceptable. But I think any of that that’s being held in that arena, he should be banned for a minimum of 10 years. In that way he has an opportunity to think about what he’s done.”
