Shaquille O’Neal has always preached how to be smart and responsible for your own money. The Big Diesel has one of the smartest minds in the field of sports and happens to be the only one with four degree’s including a Doctorate in Education. But obviously he is most notably known his contributions on the courts of the NBA.
Shaq is one of the most well accomplished players of all time being a four-time champion, former league MVP, scoring title, so no and so forth. His work earned him roughly $260 million but his net worth increases to $400 million after calculating investments, endorsements and other sources of income appearing on sports television and music.

Shaquille O’Neal has often spoken about how important saving and investing in the right things is. The former Los Angeles Lakers center owns shares several big brand industries such as fast food chain Five Guys. He also has his money generated by investing in several local gym facilities, shopping centers, nightclubs and 150 car washes.
Here is what happened before Shaq decided to put a sum on the 1.8 trillion dollar company, Google. “My first big hit was done by accident. I probably never would have invested in Google. But because I saw these guys who were super successful and how it was working for them, I trusted it.” Shaq also admitted that it was never easy to find good ad trustworthy investments. But luckily his Masters Degree in Business worked out for the better.
Shaquille O’Neal refrains from investing in Cryptocurrency
It makes sense why the NBA legend does not trust the trend in Cryptocurrency. These digital monetary schemes often witness value fluctuations which could mean becoming poor overnight at times. As many athletes are getting with the trend, Shaquille O’Neal does not feel the need to do it. “I don’t understand it. So, I will probably stay away from it until I get a full understanding of what it is.”
“I always get these companies that say, ‘We’ll give you $900,000 in crypto to send out a tweet.’ So I have to say, ‘If you’re giving me a million dollars worth of crypto, then why do you need me?’” These days it seems like the world will eventually shift onto digital money. Maybe if Shaq chooses Cryptocurrency then he might be the only person to beat Michael Jordan.
