And the debate between Bol Bol and Victor Wembanyama still continues. Thanks to Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley, we could have this debate going on and on for a long time. But for Shaq, there is one player that he is willing to pick – and has stuck with his answers even in the second half of the 2023 season. And it was a hilarious argument, given Shaq has picked Bol Bol over Wemby every time.
The show, NBA Insider started with the crew including the pair Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal analysing the game between the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz. The highlights included some of Bol Bol’s best moments of the game, with Shaq cheering the 24-year-old power forward for the Suns. When questioned about the praise, Shaq was quick to defend him.
Shaq while talking about Bol Bol said,
Same thing your boy Wembanyama can do.
When asked about the disrespect towards Victor Wembanaya by the crew, Shaq simply replied ‘Bol Bol preferred’, with one of the crew replying ‘He exploded for 6 points tonight.’
It was a cruising win for the Phoenix Suns who beat the Utah Jazz 129-115 at the Footprint Center. But for the NBA Insider, there was only one player in discussion; and that was Bol Bol. The 24-year-old played only 14 minutes, contributing just 6 points and 1 rebound. While the game wasn’t his best one yet, Shaq still believes that Sudananese is better than the French prodigy, Victor Wembanyama, Fans believe their rivalry would go on for many ages.
Phoenix Suns dominate Utah Jazz with an eye-catching performance
Phoenix Suns were yet again unplayable from the very first minute, their latest victim was the Utah Jazz. The game ended in the Suns’ favor with a 129-115 win which now extends their win record to 31.
And in Devin Booker’s absence the two faces of the team, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal stepped up with both contributing to 31 and 30 points in the entirety of the game. For the Utah Jazz, this defeat means they now had more defeats (27) than wins (26), placing them 10th in the Western Conference. With more important games on the way, it would be interesting to look at what their next approach is going to be.
As for the Suns and Bol Bol, it was another win. Moreover, with Shaq’s praise, who knows Bol Bol could prove to many what could be only perceived as his magic on the court on par with Victor Wembanayama.
