“340lbs yet more slim than him” Shaquille O’Neal claims to have lesser body fat than Cristiano Ronaldo

Shaquille O’Neal has never failed to surprise sporting fans, be it with his on-court athleticism near the rim or his verbal banters in the studio. Yet again the former Los Angeles Lakers legend has managed to grab the headlines after he made a wild claim to have lesser body fat percentage than Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, who indeed puts 20-year-olds to shame with his physique.

On one hand where Cristiano Ronaldo is highly disciplined with his eating habits and manner of training, many believe that Shaquille O’Neal could have been one of the GOAT contenders in NBA, if only he was more disciplined. However, according to Arnold Schwarzenegger, even at 7’1, 305 pounds, the 15x All-Star once reportedly even had a body fat percentage of around 7.5% while he was chugging 10 meals at a time.
Did Shaquille O’Neal have lesser body fact % than Cristiano Ronaldo?

On his podcast, The Big Podcast with Shaq the Lakers’ legend was discussing shredding some weight and getting in shape, later claimed to have a lesser fat percentage than 7% back in in 1995 which would make him fitter than Cristiano Ronaldo. To bring everyone on the same page firstly, the Manchester United striker is reported to have less than 8% body fat even at the age of 37, which only goes onto showcase his dedication to play for long.
Safe to say here, having 7.5% body fat is already way too less than what a man at that height should carry. If Giannis Antetokounmpo had claimed this, we would’ve believed it. But surely can’t be the case with Shaquille O’Neal, who is also known to love partying, drinking and hookah. Also, keep in mind that The Big Diesel later gained 50-pounds between his championships from 2000 to 2002 and was never able to keep the fat percentage under 12% after leaving the Los Angeles Lakers.

Whether it is the body fat percentage or any other aspect, these two stars have reigned superior for more than 15 years in their respective domains and have rightfully made a name for generations to come.
