Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal

Former NBA great and current ESPN sports analyst Shaquille O’Neal mentioned missing his former teammate and close friend, Kobe Bryant. Both the NBA greats shared a very clamorous friendship when they were teammates during Shaq’s Los Angeles stint. But Shaq was later traded to Miami Heat in 2004 when both started having differences with the approach toward the game. Shaq successfully led Miami Heat to a title win two years after his trade, while things were a little rough for Kobe during the championship run.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media where two portraits were seen at Shaq’s house, with an edit of the Big Diesel and the Black Mamba being old. The other had Shaq and Kobe reunited when the Los Angeles Lakers paid homage to the Big Diesel. Kobe was killed in a tragic helicopter accident with his daughter two years back.

Everyone pays tribute to him, and maybe this was Shaq’s way to honour him. Things were supposedly not well between the two ex-teammates, but by god’s grace, they had managed to reconcile before Kobe left this world. He also was seen saying, “Miss my brother” in the same video. Everyone now and then, Shaq manages to remember his fellow friend and has heaps of praises for him, even though this friendship couldn’t justify the tag of ‘friendship.’
