Shaquille O’Neal holds the ‘frozen smile pose’ while Charles Barkley hilariously refuses to co-operate Inside the NBA
Shaquille O'Neal
The cast of the Inside the NBA show on TNT is one of the most hilarious groups on sports television. The group consists of two of the most legendary players of the NBA in Shaquille O’Neal, a former league MVP, scoring champ, and multiple-time NBA Champion, and Charles Barkley, a former league MVP as well and two-time defensive player of the year. The two are usually joined by Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith, who is a former player of the Houston Rockets (1987-1996).
The group has often kept their viewers in high spirits at their own expense by roasting current NBA players and also themselves. In a recent episode of the show, the four had opened the segment with Shaq putting on a wide smile. While the others joined in on with Shaq, on the other corner of the table was Barkley who seemed to have had an unintentional frown on his face. As his colleagues would ask him to smile along with them, Barkley could not keep a straight and cracked. Johnson jokingly said, “He never would’ve played along, he’s never professional.”
Fans react to the Inside the NBA cast roasting Charles Barkley
For the number of years that the show has been on the air, fans have grown to love the squad every passing day. Twitter users also joined in on the fun and gave the internet some comedic reactions. Here are a few to laugh over.
Charles Barkley announces his possible retirement as host of Inside the NBA
Charles Barkley is an integral part of the comedic nature of the group. A few months ago, one being asked about his thoughts on retirement, he replied saying, “It’s been a great, great thing. I love Ernie, Kenny, Shaq, and everybody we work with. But I just don’t feel the need to work until the day I die.” He has many significant moments as an analyst on TNT.
The legend continued to say, “I don’t want to die on TV. I want to die on the golf course or somewhere fishing. I don’t want to be sitting over by fat-a** Shaq waiting to drop dead.” Chuck currently has less than two years on his contract with TNT after which he may possibly call it a career. All signs became more evident after Draymond Green signed to be a member of the show on January 27, 2022.
