“I saw in his eyes, he was SCARED” – Shaquille O’Neal issues blunt warning to Ben Simmons for calling him a hater
Ben Simmons and Shaquille O'Neal
Shaquille O’Neal is not having any of Ben Simmons’s tantrums. The Lakers legend gives it to the Brooklyn Nets player like it is in a recent episode of his podcast.
Ben Simmons has been under all types of scrutiny in the recent past after his disastrous spell with the Philadelphia 76ers. The former player of the Philly team was not only torn apart by the fans but even analysts like Shaquille O’Neal had given up on the player and decided to call him out for his terrible form and mentality.
In a recent episode of “The Big Podcast” hosted by Shaq, Spice Adams, and Nischelle Turner, the legendary player gave the much-awaited response to the then Philly player’s criticism. “Listen, if you’re greater, you can’t be a hater,” said O’Neal to Bens’ criticism of the Lakers legend being a hater.
“First of all, I’m just talking about what I see as a player and I’m talking about what you do to get to that next level. If you don’t like what I say, that I ain’t my problem. I saw in his eyes he was scared,” added O’Neal.
"Everybody goes through struggles. But this the game we play, this is the life we live. You're going to take criticism. They pay us a lot of money, somehow you have to deal with it."

The JJ Reddick podcast was a great opportunity for the former Sixers player to come out and reveal what actually happened behind the scenes during his rough spell. Simmons went from a player with the greatest promise to being the most-hated player in the NBA.
On the podcast, Simmons clapped back at Shaq for not reaching out to him before brutally criticizing him on national television. “I DM’d him and I was like, ‘why are you saying this if you don’t even know the story?’ He always wants to say like yo, we’re LSU brothers, you’re my brother, all this, that,” said Simmons talking to Reddick.
