Charles Barkley has a habit of roasting everyone else in the world. That has been the one thing constant with him throughout his career as a player as well as a broadcaster. The NBA Hall of Famer though gets it back sometimes. Most likely from his good friend and co-panelist on Inside the NBA on TNT, Shaquille O’Neal. Now imagine if O’Neal joined with the NFL‘s most popular man Jason Kelce to taunt Barkley. That calls for an epic roast. And they did just that on Kelce’s show New Heights.

O’Neal caught up with Kelce in Las Vegas as it is Super Bowl week. They are seated at a table having food when Kelce shows O’Neal his 2018 Super Bowl ring. O’Neal with the ring in his hand calls out Barkley by saying:

Hey Charles, you know what me and Jason have in common that you don't?

O’Neal points at the ring and then points toward the camera taunting Barkley with a tongue-out laugh. All the while, Jason Kelce breaks out in laughter. This taunt will go down well with the basketball faithful as it is not common for athletes of other sports to roast Barkley’s absence of a championship ring.

Shaquille O’Neal is a well-known individual in any sphere of the world. That is his level of fame. He has achieved that not only with his prowess as a basketball player but also as a jovial entertaining good big guy. Jason Kelce is in a similar sphere. The perennial Pro-Bowler and NFL Champion entertains everyone wherever he gets the chance.

The Philadelphia Eagles center has made a name for himself with his cheerful and high-energy takes both on and off the field. How often do you find two of the most prominent centers in either sport sitting together at a table, eating, and showing off their championship rings?

Charles Barkley’s lack of rings is a negative in roast battles

Charles Barkley has had a remarkable career. Popularly known as the ‘Round Mound of Rebound’, Barkley was synonymous with high-energy basketball. He was league MVP while with the Phoenix Suns. He was announced as one of the 75 Greatest Players of All Time. Those are remarkable achievements for a player who was less than the required height to play his position.

But, his career has fallen short in the ring department. Although Barkley tried his level best to try and win a championship, his efforts did not bear fruit. And that is where O’Neal constantly gets him. Several times on their show O’Neal has used the championship’s taunt to get back at Barkley.

So for the two to get together and taunt the GOAT of roasts will be met with cheers not only from fans but colleagues at TNT as well. After all, everyone waits to get back at Barkley after he finishes roasting them.
