On one hand where Shaquille O’Neal’s net worth is enough to cater towards his lifestyle, one has to admit that it also sometimes makes for some crazy stories. The 4x NBA Champ built that net worth through strategic and valuable investments. Moreover, Shaq makes a great deal of money every year from his businesses. Making it admirable to sense and applaud the business acumen he has developed over the years.
How did Shaquille O’Neal lose $100 Million?
Now to turn back the history pages in 1998, Magic Johnson made perhaps one of the biggest and best deals of his post-NBA career. The Laker legend and veteran scorer currently has a company called Magic Johnson Enterprises which specializes in investments. What’s even more praise worthy that it is a huge profit off a venture into the coffee company.

Magic Johnson convinced Starbucks owner Howard Schultz to expand his business and convinced him to open 125 stores across the States. Fanatics would be aware that Starbucks is a major business, and in 2010 when Magic sold his stock, he netted $100 million from the deal.
That being said, Shaquille O’Neal said that he had the opportunity before Magic did. He had a peculiar reason for why he denied Schultz. But now he deeply regrets his choice. Even to this date, the Big Hall of Famer has voiced his concern over this particular choice.
Both of these spoken off personnel boast a net worth of over $200 Million and have time and again been applauded for making revelations in the business sector. But guess, these are one of the rarest instances where Shaq had to bear a loss.
