Shaquille O’Neal questions Dwight Howard being a future Hall of Famer after getting bullied by Sim Bhullar
Read on to find out about how Shaquille O'Neal reacted to Dwight Howard's altercation with Sim Bhullar in the T1 league
Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard left the NBA after 18 seasons to pursue his basketball career abroad. The 36-year-old big man revealed in November that he will be joining the T1 League‘s Taoyuan Leopards. The Leopards compete in Taiwan, where baseball and basketball are two of the most popular sports. After the Chinese Basketball Alliance and the P.League+, the T1 League is Taiwan’s third professional basketball league. The league was founded in 2021 and has 6 teams.
Howard definitely thought that he would dominate the league and there would hardly be anyone who would’ve been able to match his pace. However, things didn’t go his way when he was bullied by a former NBA player Sim Bhullar during a match last month. This led to people questioning his place in the future hall of fame and former Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal was one of them.
One NBA fan recently questioned whether D-12 was actually deserving of the Hall of Fame in a comment on a page that included Howard’s showdown with former Sacramento Kings player Sim Bhullar. Shaq responded to the comment, agreeing with the fan that Howard might not be a Hall of Famer after all.
Nevertheless, given that Shaquille O’Neal is involved, one should proceed with caution. He and Howard have a never-ending feud, and he criticizes the former NBA player anytime he gets the chance. Howard may not be performing at the same level he did in his first game, but he’s still a solid player. It shouldn’t be a doubt as to whether he belongs in the Hall of Fame because he had one of the NBA’s most successful yet brief primes.
Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard’s beef
The careers of Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard are very similar. They both started off with the Orlando Magic, where they both helped the team reach the NBA Finals, before eventually switching to the Los Angeles Lakers. Their differences, however, start where their commonalities end.
Due to Shaq’s status as the world’s biggest Superman fan, Dwight Howard’s adoption of the Superman nickname has long been a major source of friction between the two. On his left arm, he even has a tattoo of the Superman logo.
O’Neal’s precipitous decline in the late 2000s and Howard’s Superman character phase came at the same time, which may have fueled the four-time NBA champion’s hatred even more. Even after all these years, neither of their problems seems to be getting any better.
