“I think he lives for these moments” Shaquille O’Neal showers ultimate praise on Trae Young by calling him as his ‘second favorite player’

Trae Young is finally getting the correct recognition he deserved throughout the season and it’s by the most honest analyst around. Shaquille O’Neal also known as “Shaq” and “DJ Diesel” is a retired National Basketball Association player and a legendary Hall of Famer as he is the most dominant force ever seen in the league. In his retirement, Shaquille O’Neal has turned into a businessman, musician, and NBA analyst as he still loves to be around the game and enjoy it. Recently, like every other day he once again made it to the headlines as he praised the Trae Young-led Atlanta Hawks for turning their season around and making it to the play-offs. The Hawks were a part of the play-in tournament in the eastern conference and they have successfully won that as they got themselves the 8^th seed and have made it to the postseason.

The Atlanta Hawks first handed the biggest L of the season to the Charlotte Hornets in the play-in tournament with a blowout loss for their final game as it is a wrap for them. Then continuing the rally they were hosted by the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse for the final battle to make it to the postseason. It was a closely contested and head-to-head match-up but with the great scoring ability of Trae Young and godlike ball handling they got the dub as the final box score stands at 107-101 favoring the Hawks. In the game, he dropped 38 points, 9 assists, and 3 rebounds.

Now after winning the play-in tournament the Atlanta Hawks will be going against the Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat for the first round of the playoffs. Shaquille O’Neal after the Cavs-Hawks game sitting alongside the crew of Charles Barkley and others at NBA on TNT gave his flowers to the Hawks’ marquee and other team members for their great run as they didn’t call it a wrap and now have a sure shot to get a long and deep run in the postseason.

He is really doing a great job of letting the game come to him and keeping his guys involved…They play hard…I like the way they play. I don’t know how far they can go, but I just love the way they play. He’s my second favorite player because I like that he lives for these moments.”

Shaquille O’Neal is very right with the things he said for Trae Young. As he really has been that guy this season. He leads the league in points scored (2,155) and assists made (737) during the season. This season he has averaged 28.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 9.7 assists per game. He even made it to the MVP conversation and is surely a top-10 in that too. Now the next challenge in front of the Atlanta Hawks is Miami Heat as the series is going to be a tough one. Since both, the sides have the potential to wipe the other one and with the Hawks missing some size and stars due to injuries the Heat surely gets the higher ground but Ice Trae can surely handle the pressure.
