Although Shaquille O’Neal is most known for his time in the NBA, he has always expressed interest in working for the police. In addition to serving as an honorary deputy with the Florida Sheriff’s Office, he was awarded an honorary US Deputy Marshall in 2005.
O’Neal attended the Los Angeles County Reserve Academy so he could serve as a reserve officer with the Los Angeles Port Police, and as a result, he was awarded an honorary US Deputy Marshall in 2005. O’Neal has continuously supported and welcomed police enforcement throughout his extensive, diverse, and well-publicized career in the mainstream. Since the programme has a rule that the real owner of the house shouldn’t be aware of the renovation, they were required to break a door in order to renovate a property. Shaq just shattered the door using his co-star’s help without asking the owner’s permission, and he did so in an hilarious manner. In addition to displaying his credentials, Shaq made a bet that his co-star won’t be able to open the door.
Shaquille O’Neal was extremely mindful of the other policemen and feared that if he had been present at a ceremony, that moment would have been dampened for the other cops where he was sworn in as a reserve police officer. O’Neal has stated that working with the special victims detective team to prevent crimes against children is what he was most passionate in doing.
