“You know exactly who raised me” Shareef O’Neal shows ‘NEVER-DIE’ attitude to answer back to Robert Horry’s criticism
Robert Horry and Shareef O'Neal
Shareef O’Neal has already proved many of his haters wrong and the journey of him getting the job done and making it to the league is on. Many were senselessly hating on him for chasing his dream but he stayed locked in and shutting them down got himself a summer league spot in a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. He went undrafted but hasn’t given up. Shareef O’Neal though in his very limited time at Summer League in Las Vegas showed out to the world who he really is and what’s the potential he holds. As he showcased his highlight-worthy skillset on the floor and delivered some monstrous dunks too.
But unfortunately, he lost the long race and didn’t receive a roster spot from the Los Angeles Lakers. The road he is on is surely a tougher one as he has put in double the amount of work since having an open-heart surgery in 2018. But Shareef O’Neal isn’t a quitter and is still out there grinding his way to the league. But the most recent criticism Shareef O’Neal received was from the 7 time NBA Champion Robert Horry. He was nothing but brutally honest while speaking about the new and young guns’ gameplay on his podcast.
Robert Horry has spent years with Shaquille O’Neal and those were some great years. So linking the Big Diesel with Shareef O’Neal he quoted: “I picked up my phone and I was getting ready to call Shaq like ‘Yo man, you gotta tell your son…he can’t be playing off the damn O’Neal name. He gotta go out there and play.’ You gotta put forth some more effort man. You know Shareef’s such a nice kid, that I don’t know if he has that dog in him to go out there and take what he wants.”

Shareef O’Neal responds to Robert Horry’s critical take
Robert Horry basically said that Shareef O’Neal isn’t the guy to get it done as he doesn’t have the dog in him. But honestly, that isn’t a good take as he is doing everything he can and is just getting hated for it. But he didn’t take the criticism personally and being the wise one replying to it via his personal Twitter handle wrote: “I know this outta love and no disrespect!!! I got you BIG SHOT?? but you know who raised me , I don’t quit. Always been taught to go get it and take it . Been heading in the right step …like I said I got you! Youll see”
Shareef O’Neal wants no part of the trash-talk as he stayed humble and wants his game to speak for him. He may be out of the league right now but is still in the visible circle. As recently, he got himself a six-figure deal with Team Ignite in the G-League. So him making a strong return and staying in this time is very possible and we wish him good luck for that. His numbers during his time with the Lakers weren’t that great but once he’s all ready to come back and attack again a strong difference would be seen as he’s a hard worker who is putting the work in to make his dream come true.
