New details about the accusations against Houston Rockets star Kevin Porter Jr. are being released to the public and things don’t look good for the young guard going forward. Following the incident, Porter Jr. was arrested on charges of assault and strangulation made by his girlfriend and former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick.

According to reports, the incident took place in a New York hotel room after a 911 call was made from the room after Porter assaulted Gondrezick and tried to strangle her with hands. Porter was then arrested by authorities and taken into custody for further investigation.

The reason why the altercation happened, as reports state, is that Porter Jr. went out to spend the evening alone, which upset his girlfriend. She locked the door. After Porter Jr. gained access to the room with the help of hotel staff, he proceeded to assault his girlfriend.

New reports regarding the case have surfaced. According to reports upon preliminary investigation by the authorities, it was determined that Porter struck his girlfriend multiple times, resulting in at least a broken bone and also tried to put his hands around her neck to try and strangle her.“A preliminary investigation on scene determined that a known individual struck her multiple times upon her body and placed his hands around her neck,” reports from NBC New York said.
