REPORT: Sixers’ James Harden could once again become the face of Houston Rockets’ franchise on this condition

James Harden is trying his best to get back to the top spot in the NBA. Besides being a prolific scorer of the ball and a first-class MVP, he has been a championship caliber player ever since taking over the scene at Houston. There, he single-handedly managed to earn multiple accolades and break several records.

His Houston Rockets days were glorious without a doubt. And there is a possibility of him returning to the roster if things don’t work out with the Philadelphia 76ers. Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski recently wrote for ESPN claiming that the Beard is actively considering rejoining his former team.

Woj also reported that James Harden’s representatives have been keeping track of the Rockets’ situation as well. Landing him back onto the roster will definitely require a lot of assets to be given up. It would be particularly harder for the team to let go off their current young core of Jabari Smith, Jalen Green and even Kevin Porter Jr., who have been exceptional.

The 76ers have been very good this season on the brightside. They are actively on a seven game win streak with Harden being a great fit besides Joel Embiid. The duo have been making good progress chemistry wise but another failed playoff run could possibly mean the end of their relationship (team wise). James has openly voiced his hunger to win a title.

After several failed attempts with Russell Westbrook at Houston and the Brooklyn Nets big three, James Harden is now trying to make things right with the Sixers. In a pursuit to fix his legacy once and for all, the Beard has completely changed his playing style as well. Evolving from a high-level scorer into a pass-first individual was rough but is working.

He currently leads the league in assists averaging 10.9 per game along with 21.4 points and 6.6 rebounds. The Sixers have been inching closer every year to the title. Even though they were not successful last season due to rust and injuries, a fit roster featuring Embiid, Harden, Harris and Maxey would go a long way.
