“Celtics knocked off second straight ‘Best Player on the Planet’” Skip Bayless admires Jayson Tatum and Co. for routing past Bucks in Game 7

Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant

Jayson Tatum and Boston Celtics found a huge believer/supporter in Skip Bayless when they ruthlessly beat the defending champions in Game 7 to progress into the conference finals. Having out-done and out-played the Milwaukee Bucks by more than 50-points from downtown, the Celtics paved their way against Miami Heat as they left no room for catching up for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Moreover, Jayson Tatum, Celtics have knocked out Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo in the same playoffs. From being below .500% in entering the All-Star break to booking their place in the Eastern Conference Finals vs Heat, Celtics has seen it all. Which has led to Skip Bayless believing in them against all odds to gather even more success in the particular playoffs.

Can Jayson Tatum lead Celtics to NBA Finals?

In a discussion with Shannon Sharpe on the latest episode of Undisputed, Bayless stated, “Boston Celtics just knocked off its second straight ‘Best Player on the Planet’ off his throne. They did it to Kevin Durant, and they just did it to Giannis Antetokounmpo.”

While Jayson Tatum managed to score just over 20 points in Game 7, the Celtics were majorly led by Grant Williams, who scored career best 27 points. Although Giannis had 25 points and 20 rebounds but yet again there was no one from the Bucks’ line-up to fill in for the voids of their best player.

In the end the Greek Freak lost all hope and decided to sit himself out with more than a couple of minutes remaining on the game clock. Safe to say, game 7 only went onto showcase that Giannis is too human as he finally registered a below-par game against his name.

Now all eyes will be on Tatum and the way he leads the Boston Celtics as they lock horns against the best team in the East, Miami Heat, who are equipped with major stars on either end of the court. Will it be Jimmy Butler or Jayson Tatum to draw first blood? Remains to be seen.
