“KD wrecked LeBron James’ legacy” Skip Bayless believes Kevin Durant would be heading to Phoenix to save CP3’s legacy

Kevin Durant on Skip Bayless
Kevin Durant’s trade request has been the talk of the town for a week now, ever since the news was made public. Many teams took the opportunity to test the water, but not many would get success, looking at the trade value of Slim Reaper. 2014 MVP also has his list of teams he would like to join going ahead, which includes the Miami Heat and Phoenix suns. Both teams led their respective conferences in 2022 but failed to finish the season on a high. Suns were shocked by Dallas Mavericks in the Semis, while Miami fell short against the Boston Celtics team in an entertaining 7-game series. The addition of Kevin Durant might help them get over the final hump, but it will also come at some steep price.
As per Skip Bayless though, KD to Phoenix suns would be a similar sort of example of what he did back at the Golden State Warriors. He stated that Kevin Durant saved Steph Curry’s legacy and destroyed LeBron James’ while playing for the Warriors back in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He claims that. Kevin Durant now may help save Chris Paul’s career.
But the Phoenix Suns will have to make a huge sacrifice for their young stars and some future picks to land a 4-time scoring champion. If they do manage to get respective alternatives and continue to play under 2022 Coach of the season Monty Williams, who also had a good relationship with KD; Suns might win their 1st ever NBA Championship.
Skip Bayless believes that Kevin Durant saved Stephen Curry, destroyed LeBron James, and now might help Chris Paul do the same

The abilities and talent of the Washington-born Kevin Durant are unquestionable. He still is an elite shooter in the league and probably one of the best mid-range stars to play in NBA history. Though his long-range shooting and ball-handling skills are also his strongholds, offensively he relies more on the mid-range game.
While discussing the trade request and possible destinations of 33-years old star, Bayless said On “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, “He not only saved Steph’s legacy … Kevin Durant also wrecked LeBron James’ legacy. … He wrecked LeBron James’ legacy. He left it in ruins. It was like smoking rubble. LeBron had it, then he didn’t have it.”
Back in 2016, Cleveland Cavaliers made history by being the first team – and still only one – to overcome a 3-1 deficit in an NBA Finals. The victory over defending champion Golden State, with one of the best records in the regular season, wrote a large page in LeBron’s legacy. Ohio-born megastar did deliver the promised trophy for his franchise, which was their 1st ever major sports trophy.
But Golden State Warriors went one step ahead, bringing in the lethal scorer in Kevin Durant in 2017, and then made the same Cavaliers team look mediocre; defeating them in 8 of 9 games in the following 2 NBA finals. By doing so, 70-years old analyst believes Durant managed to destroy James’ icon status, and in the process, Curry added championships two and three to his ledger. Warriors did get a huge boost and managed their supremacy over the league with KD in their ranks.
Back to the current situation, if Durant joins the Phoenix Suns, the analyst said the 2-time Finals MVP could do the same for Paul. Chris Paul is nearing his retirement but still possesses elite point guard skills. If he and KD managed to join hands, with proper support at the franchise, it could be a devastating pairing for the league.
The winning Championship will keep their opponents at bay, and Stephen Curry and LeBron James will be on 4 rings, while Paul might get his 1st title and KD will also add some more trophies with the capable team.
“Are we going to forget OKC? What LeBron did to him?” analyst Shannon Sharpe said in support of the LA Lakers star. James’ Miami team defeated young Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City Thunders in 4 games to win his 1st of many NBA Championships.
But Bayless responded, “LeBron was the best player on the planet, and Kevin destroyed him back-to-back games. … He was the (Finals) MVP.” Regarding their recent NBA Finals encounter.

While both James and Durant have significant careers and continue to play at elite levels. Both are Megastars of the league and are to be celebrated as some of the greatest. As fans, we would love to enjoy the healthy competition on the court, which in turn will decide their legacies.
